Rosemarie Buzzy,  – Adult ESL Teacher for Computer Based Instruction
Rosemarie grew up in Lynchburg, VA and graduated B.S. Cross-Cultural and TESOL Minor from Toccoa Falls College in Georgia.  From a very young age, Rosemarie’s heart to love and serve people overseas and international immigrants overflowed from her salvation through Jesus Christ and her love of learning culture and language. She has taught English in Southeast Asia, Virginia, Kentucky, and Clarkston, GA.

Nijimbere “Julias” Lahayiloyi is our new MRS Intensive Care Case Worker
Julias is from Burundi, born in Congo but was raised in Tanzania. He speaks English, Kirundi, Kinyarwanda, and Swahili. He was former  Catholic charities client. He had graduated from U of L with  degrees in both Political Science and Sociology. Currently registered to start the Kant School of social work master program next year. He enjoys being a community organizer, working with the refugee and migrant populations. He  loves being an advocate for social justice in our city, our nation, and in our world.

Brina Joiner is our Youth Employment Specialist & ELT Instructor
Prior to her position here, she served as a Peace Corps Education volunteer in Rwanda, Africa. Although she has spent several years in Louisville, she’s lived in over 7 different cities! She is passionate about education and youth development. She could not be more excited to be part of the Catholic Charities Team!

Samson Tarpeh is the Wellness Extended Services Lead
Samson Tarpeh is a Community Developer with in-depth knowledge in strategic partnering and planning, organizational administration, community outreach, critical thinking, organizing, and executing programs to bring about societal improvement. He has a passion to help communities and individuals thrive. He particularly has a passion for building the capacity of underprivileged individuals and war victims to develop and become more involved in their communities through their talents and resources. His community development experience includes building community solidarity and strengthening the capacity of civic leaders, including university students, in the United States and in Liberia. His coaching expertise is centered around guiding and training individuals and teams to focus on what is important and to build strategic plans that strengthen their capabilities.
