Social Ministry Directory
Welcome to this electronic version of our new web based Ministry Directory. This directory documents the many social outreach activities of the Archdiocese one parish at a time. It also provides comparison of social ministry within each region of our Archdiocese.
It is easy to use. Below you may choose an index of parishes either by name or by region that will provide information specific to your parish. You will also see a link to compare to others in your region. There are sections on Tools, Hallelujah Moments, background on the National Collections and a special version of Regions of 10-12 that Sr. Mary Schmuck of our Bardstown office has developed.

Thanks go to the hard work of our staff volunteers—Charlie Hamlet, Charlie Buccola and Gary Marvin. They performed the hard work of structuring the information and uploading to the website as well as contacting parishes for clarifying information. Mark Bouchard, Sr. Mary Schmuck, and myself worked at gathering data. The parish data is self reported, so if we misinterpreted or left something out, please let us know so we can correct it. (Click here to email any corrections)
Cardinal Avery Dulles noted that social outreach is one of the ways that we are evangelical. Our Bishops call social outreach constitutive (foundational) of what it means to be a Catholic Parish. St. Francis of Assisi said (supposedly), “preach the gospel at all times, and when all else fails, use words.” We Catholics do what we do for and with others not based on who they are but rather based on who we are.
