I am so grateful for all of the prayers during the cancer treatment of the last months and the surgery I had yesterday. The surgery took seven hours, but it was successful. I am up and walking now and hope to recover fully. My prayers are with all of you.

The highly-acclaimed film Midnight Traveler is now playing in theaters in Louisville. This film will forever change the way we think about the word “refugee.”
The film is told from the point of view of the Afghani refugees. Midnight Traveler is getting a very strong, positive audience and critical acclaim and was just shortlisted for the International Documentary Association award.

As Thanksgiving approaches, I am once again excited to watch newly-arrived refugee families experience the holiday for the first time. While it may be a new tradition for many of them, the idea of coming together to share a meal is familiar. It gives us all the opportunity to express our gratitude and build community. Read more.
We are honored to have one Veteran Employee, Shaniece Conner, Office Manager at Sister Visitor Center. We honor and thank her today for her service in the United States Army as a Sergeant. She served 8 years from 2004-2012.
