Connect the Dots Training

//Connect the Dots Training

We are pleased to offer the Connect the Dots training for any employees who work with parents or children.

Please join us Wednesday, February 13th, 2018 from 9:00 am – 1:30 pm
The location will be determined based on the number of participants registered.

What is Connect the Dots?
Connect the Dots is a joint collaboration between multiple early education and mental health specialists across Kentucky. The collaboration was built to address a common need: The need for a short yet powerful skills-based training teaching the basics of social and emotional best practices for young children.

What will be covered?
Connect the Dots highlights 4 easy to remember steps to address challenging behaviors. The 4 steps encompass both the “well-being” and the “well-doing” of young children (ages 2-5) to ensure strong social and emotional skills needed for success in school and life.

Who would benefit from this training?
Connect the Dots resources and trainings are for anyone who works with children ages two to five years old. This particular training event is geared towards any Catholic Charities staff member or volunteer who works with young children, or provide counseling or case management to parents of young children.

We are pleased to have our very own Cydnei Dean, form the Family Support Department as one of the instructors.  She will partner with Nikki Boyd from Norton’s Children’s Hospital & Safe Kids.

The training will be “brown bag” style, so feel free to bring your lunch with you! There will also be a 30 minute break for people to go get food if you do not bring you own.

CEU’s are available for completion of this training.

To register, please email Sondra M. smehler@archlou.org
