Current Volunteer Opportunities

  • Friendly Visitor: These volunteers provide simple companionship or social activity to residents to enhance their overall quality of life. Friendly visitors are not responsible for investigating or attempting to resolve complaints. However, the volunteer will refer any concerns to the ombudsman’s office.
  • Certified Volunteer Ombudsman: The CVO will connect with residents and their loved ones to advocate on behalf of residents to improve overall care. The ombudsman is instrumental in working to educate residents, families, friends or potential consumers about their rights and responsibilities in a long-term care facility.

For more information on how to get started, visit Catholic Charities’ volunteer page and fill out a volunteer application. If you have additional questions, please contact our volunteer coordinator at 502-637-9786.
