Practicum Students

Practicum students have a rich diversity of fields to observe and document with Catholic Charities. Our work includes direct case management for refugees, those caught in a cycle of poverty, and those exiting human trafficking. Practicum students also can observe job training, social enterprises, immigration law, entrepreneurial development, and, of course, organizational leadership. We work with your university to make sure we provide what is needed.

Internships

Unlike practicums, internships provide an opportunity to actually perform the key functions of a job with Catholic Charities. More hands-on and less observational, internships are available to students in a variety of disciplines, most often social work, psychology, public policy, or healthcare. Again, our work provides a breadth of opportunities that range from urban agriculture to human trafficking, from refugee services to food pantries.
