Anti-Human Trafficking
Bakhita Empowerment Initiative
Walking with survivors. Preventing exploitation. Building awareness.
We provide hope and practical support for people impacted by human trafficking. We walk alongside survivors with individualized services, help vulnerable youth recognize their worth and protect their future, and train professionals and community partners to respond with compassion and skill.
We are the only program in Kentucky offering all three: direct survivor services, prevention education, and professional training.
Lasting Hope.
Survivor services
We support survivors of sex and labor trafficking—men, women, and youth of all backgrounds. Our team provides case management, housing support, legal and mental health referrals, and job development assistance. Every step is guided by dignity, empowerment, and the survivor’s own goals.

Prevention education
We provide evidence-based classes to vulnerable youth up to age 21—because every young person deserves the power to say no to exploitation. These sessions spark confidence, build healthy boundaries, and open eyes to real-world risks. Each class is designed to equip and empower youth to stand strong, protect themselves, and look out for one another.

Training & awareness
The Bakhita Training Institute offers workshops for educators, healthcare providers, law enforcement, social services, and other professionals. Training is tailored to each audience and helps build awareness, improve response, and strengthen prevention. Even if your agency doesn’t work directly with survivors, equipping staff with this knowledge demonstrates a commitment to raising awareness and standing together in the fight against trafficking.
