2025 Interpreter Training Schedule

Bridging the Gap

Bridging the Gap is a 40 hour Medical Interpreting Training Program. This course is designed to train bilingual individuals in becoming successful and professional interpreters in the health care field. You will be taught the interpreter roles, ethics they must uphold, and the techniques used in facilitating the communication between the patient-provider. In addition, medical terminologies will be reviewed and taught. The classes are scheduled to accommodate busy work schedules. Final exams will be held face to face in Louisville, KY, location TBA.

Class fee of $650.00 includes textbook, class materials, official certificate and oral language proficiency examination. Students must attend all 40 hours to be eligible to receive Certificate.

A non-refundable deposit of $150 for language proficiency screening is required for all candidates. Those scoring a “9” or higher will be invited to complete the registration process. The balance of $500.00 will be due at the time of registration.

Pre-screening and registration must be completed at least 2 weeks prior to the start date of chosen class.
