Emergency Financial Assistance (EFA)

Sister Visitor Center provides emergency financial assistance to prevent eviction, utility shutoffs, and other crises that threaten a family’s well-being.

Sister Visitor Center serves all of zip code 40212 and parts of 40211 & 40203 as part of the Association of Community Ministries. There are 13 ministries in total, each serving a certain area of Louisville. To request EFA, please click here to fill out this application form and find a service near you.

Sister Visitor Center
Providing emergency food and financial assistance to residents living west of 9th Street and north of Broadway. Our mission is rooted in Christ’s call to feed the hungry, clothe the naked, and shelter the homeless.

Father Jack Jones Food Pantry
Our walk-up food pantry serves the neighborhoods surrounding Churchill Downs and the University of Louisville, where child poverty rates remain among the highest in Kentucky.

Through Family Life Ministry, Archdiocese of Louisville offers groups and events to support families in stress. Topics include: grief and loss (including loss due to addiction), divorce recovery, infertility support, families impacted by addiction, and caregiving for loved ones.
