Volunteers to Host Stop Traffic Gala on Derby Eve

Louisville, Ky, April 18, 2018- The first annual Stop Traffic Gala is a party for a purpose: to raise $10,000 in aid for survivors of human trafficking. Trafficking is often called modern day slavery and its victims are exploited for labor and/or sex. Human trafficking is a serious problem in Kentucky. Over 200 children were reported to the state as being potentially trafficked in Kentucky in 2017.

Program paves way for refugee students

Initiative Aims to Promote Human Dignity

The Archdiocese of Louisville will begin an initiative called “Days of Human Dignity” Jan. 6, the feast of the Epiphany. A prayer service is planned that day at the Cathedral of the Assumption at 11:30 a.m. to open National Migration Week, which is observed through Jan. 13.
