New stop for newcomers

A new bus stop was unveiled May 18 at Catholic Charities of Louisville’s St. Anthony campus, located at 2222 W. Market Street. As Derby nears, prayer service highlights human trafficking

About 50 people gathered at Jefferson Square Park in downtown Louisville May 1 to pray for victims of human trafficking and call for change to curtail it.

2017 Human Trafficking Task Force Report released

Attorney General Andy Beshear and Catholic Charities of Louisville today released the 2017 Human Trafficking Task Force Report that focuses on the state’s coordinated efforts to fight human trafficking.

The report highlights Kentucky’s new streamlined notification process that better assists in investigations and follow-up victim services for reported cases of human trafficking across the state.

Team effort seeks to expand jail ministry

Members of the clergy and faithful in the Archdiocese of Louisville have ministered to inmates in local jails for three decades, despite there being no formal program to support their service.

Volunteers to Host Stop Traffic Gala on Derby Eve

Louisville, Ky, April 18, 2018- The first annual Stop Traffic Gala is a party for a purpose: to raise $10,000 in aid for survivors of human trafficking. Trafficking is often called modern day slavery and its victims are exploited for labor and/or sex. Human trafficking is a serious problem in Kentucky. Over 200 children were reported to the state as being potentially trafficked in Kentucky in 2017.
