Tahani, from Jordan, has been my client for nearly 10 years, since March 2014. She won her asylum case in September 2017 (three and half years after filing the application), and she and her son (her daughter, also in the photos below, was born in the US and thus a US Citizen) were granted lawful permanent residence (green cards) in October 2019.

The below photo is from Tahani’s naturalization ceremony earlier this month when she realized her dream of becoming a US Citizen. Her son also automatically derived citizenship through her that day, pursuant to the Child Citizenship Act, and we are currently assisting him with an application for a certificate of citizenship.
