Samantha “Sami” completed her Masters of Social Work at the University of Louisville in 2023, where she was an advanced practicum student with the Bakhita Empowerment Initiative program. Prior to this, she received her BA in Psychology from UofL and has spent the past 7 years working in the mental health field and has a passion to help those who have experienced trauma. Before receiving her degrees, Sami had 14 years of experience in the emergency veterinary field and still has a huge love for animals. Her family shares three dogs (Husky, Aussie, Golden), two cats, and two chickens. Her and her husband have two teenage sons and love to spend time with family watching her son play soccer and lacrosse, rooting for their favorite football teams, doing adventurous outdoor activities, being on the water, rocking out at music festivals, and loves to travel to new places and visit family. She is excited to be a part of the team and the CCL community!
