Angela is excited to join the Kentucky Office for Refugees as the Young Adult Services Coordinator. Angela is passionate about serving immigrants and refugees and was deeply dedicated to these communities in her previous role at JCTC. She holds a PhD in Ethnomusicology and African Studies. She is also a professional musician (Yapa!, Song Sparrows) and music educator and advocate (Louisville Folk School), a yogi and a kayaker. Angela is grateful for her close family who instilled social justice and compassion, her many teachers and collaborators who share their music and culture, and for her 22 year-old, Joy.
