Daniel Sebashmuba is joining Migration & Refugee Services as our Refugee Employment Specialist!

While growing up in Rwanda, Daniel was born in the Democratic Republic of Congo. He received his B.A. from Southern New Hampshire University in Communications, Concentration in Business. Early in his career, Daniel worked in sales and marketing, education, and youth empowerment roles. He enjoys listening to lyrical music, playing soccer, and hoops. 

Jeannine Pierre is joining Language Services as our Support Representative!

Jeannine is originally from Haiti and has been in the US for over 30 years but moved to Kentucky 8 years ago from Miami. She has been married for a little over 14 years with 5 kids including one at the University of Kentucky. Jeannine is very fluent in her native language of Haitian-Creole. She has been working in the Immigration/ non-profit/ language support/translation/interpretation field for 11 years. It’s Jeannine’s passion to help her fellow immigrants with the process of obtaining their path to citizenship. She is also passionate about the breakage of language barriers for those in need. When not helping the community, you can find her at church, or at home binge watching a series and/or spending time with her loving husband and kids. Jeannine is just glad to be here with you all and looking forward to working with everyone. 

RaeDawn Long is joining Migration and Refugee Services as our Refugee Employer Outreach Specialist!

RaeDawn is a Louisville native and graduate of Central High school same as the “Great Muhammad Ali”. She is a new proud mommy of a two-year-old boy by the name of Izrael.  RaeDawn has a background in Health Science in Occupational Therapy that began back in 2012, about 2020 switched careers to Technology/Project Management which she plans to continue to grow over the years. RaeDawn is named after famous actor’s Tommy Chong’s daughter RaeDawn Chong. She likes spending time with her baby boy.  She is a major foodie except seafood and shellfish due to allergies.  RaeDawn loves to travel and have had the opportunity to visit Jamacia, Bahamas, Paris, and London.

Carrie Cecil is joining Migration and Refugee Services as our Refugee Employment Specialist!

Carrie is from a family of teachers in eastern Kentucky. After graduating from Georgetown College with a dual degree in English and Spanish, she spent two years as a classroom conversation assistant in Madrid, Spain. Outside of work, she loves reading, exploring museums and second-hand stores, and cooking for friends and family.

Andy Gonzalez Espinosa is joining Migration and Refugee Services as our Public Benefits Caseworker!

Andy is Cuban and used to live in Miami, then decided to move to Louisville with his two dogs because he really love pets. If you want to know more about Andy, just ask him about golden retrievers and golden doodles. Also, he really likes to travel to other cities and always with his dogs.
