
St. John Center
Mission: St. John Center exists to help individuals experiencing homelessness address barriers to housing and self sufficiency so that they may move home for good.
- Day Shelter and Social Services Center operates 365 days a year.
- The Day Shelter is open:
- 8:00 AM–4:00 PM – Thursday–Tuesday
- 8:00 AM–2:00 PM – Wednesday
Volunteer Opportunities:
- Commit to regular, ongoing two-hour shifts
- Volunteers must be 18+
- Volunteers who are 16+ must be accompanied by a guardian on each shift.
- Jobs include:
- Volunteers bring their own lunch.
- Be able to lift and go up and down ladders to retrieve boxes.
- answering and directing phone calls
- handing out designated supplies
- sorting and distributing mail
- working in the laundry room
- providing shower supplies
- serving coffee on weekends

- St. John Center gratefully accepts gifts of supplies For a full list of accepted supplies, visit Stjohncenter.org
- St. John Center does not have the space or appropriate laundry facilities to accept clothing, shoes, backpacks, or blankets.
