Daniel McAlister is joining Migration & Refugee Services as our Employment Specialist!

Daniel joins us with a BA in Political Science from the University of Louisville and a background in advocacy and community service. He brings experience in union organizing, canvassing, and political outreach, which fuels his excitement for helping our clients build fulfilling lives in their new homes. Outside of work, Daniel enjoys traveling, spending time in nature, and exploring local bakeries and cafes.

Marcella Salvo is joining Migration & Refugee Services as our Data Entry Specialist!

Johanna prefers to go by her middle name, Marcella. She was born in Managua, Nicaragua and moved to the United States at the age of 6. Marcella has a bachelor’s in biology from Ave Maria University and has worked primarily in the medical, dental, and logistics fields. Her hobbies include volunteer work, painting, drawing, and gardening. Two fun facts about Marcella; she has climbed 7 volcanoes, some more than once, and any debt owed to her can be paid in the form of tacos. She is very excited to join Catholic Charities organization and feels the mission aligns well with her talents and skillset.

Greer Hannan is joining Kentucky Office for Refugees as our Program Manager!

Greer is thrilled to join Catholic Charities as the Program Manager at the Kentucky Office for Refugees. She holds a Master’s degree in Nonprofit Administration and a Master of Divinity from the University of Notre Dame. She moved to Kentucky after graduate school and, for the past eight years, she worked in compliance at St. Vincent de Paul Louisville. Previously, she worked in homeless services in South Bend, IN and Dublin, Ireland. She is a folk dance enthusiast; in her free time, she is a professional square dance caller and contra dance caller. She loves riding her bicycle to work, running, and hiking. She and her husband serve as host parents for an international exchange student.
