Join us in welcoming Josue Mbuyi to Migration & Refugee Services as our Refugee Social Services Caseworker!

Josue is a dedicated professional with a passion for serving others. Born and raised in the Democratic Republic of Congo (D.R. Congo), he moved to the United States as an international student, where he pursued higher education and earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Louisville. What brings Josue to Catholic Charities is his worldview and commitment to helping others, particularly those facing adversity.

Before joining Catholic Charities, Josue worked as a Caseworker in D.R. Congo, where he provided essential resources and support to individuals and families in need. His hands-on experience in the D.R. Congo solidified his dedication to making a positive impact in the community and beyond.

Fluent in several languages including English, French, Swahili, Lingala, and Tshiluba, Josue can connect with a wide range of people, breaking down linguistic and cultural barriers to offer meaningful support and work with diverse populations.

His work to Catholic Charities will be driven by a strong sense of service, compassion, and a genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of those served.
