Archdiocese of Louisville Archbishop Joseph Kurtz has submitted his letter of resignation to Pope Francis, as is customary for Archbishops when they reach the age of 75. But we will have Archbishop Kurtz in Louisville for at least another six months and maybe for a year, according to ADOL Chief Communications Officer Cecelia Price, while a new Archbishop is established.

Archbishop Kurtz took his current role in Louisville in 2007.
