ILS Celebration Story

Tahani, from Jordan, has been my client for nearly 10 years, since March 2014. She won her asylum case in September 2017 (three and half years after filing the application), and she and her son (her daughter, also in the photos below, was born in the US and thus a US Citizen) were granted lawful permanent residence (green cards) in October 2019.

Catholic Charities gives Canadian WWII vet a proper burial

Catholic Charities is making sure a Canadian veteran, with no living relatives, gets a dignified burial.

A Canadian man only known by his accolades at war died in Louisville on Aug. 9. Ken Pergantes was 97 when he passed away at his home. The Deputy Coroner tried to locate relatives or friends, but couldn’t find anyone, so Catholic Charities stepped in and started looking for answers.
