Welcome Katie Norton!

Katie Norton is the new Refugee Youth Mentoring Coordinator for MRS. She is a graduate of Western Kentucky University, with a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and Public Relations. Prior to her work at MRS, she completed internships with KRM and International Center in Bowling Green. She recently completed a VISTA service year with MRS, in which she successfully recruited and managed volunteers and worked to engage the community in our programming. Plans have been made for our annual agency staff celebration. We will gather on Friday, August 30, 2019, at Holy Family Parish in the Saffin Center – 3926 Poplar Level Rd. The program will begin promptly at 12:15 p.m.

Community Relations Manager Shelley Dewig and Americorps VISTA Katie Norton will be leaving us in the next few weeks.  Shelley and Katie have both contributed a great deal to our agency and will be greatly missed!  A few staff members are organizing after hours social events to say goodbye:

Louisville FC Tickets

You may have seen the article in the Record about Louisville FC coming to help in our refugee youth summer program recently. As part of our new community relationship, they have graciously donated free tickets to their upcoming home game next Saturday, July 20 at 7:00pm against Bethlehem Steel at Louisville Slugger Field.
