This past week, we wrapped up the local distribution of CRS (Catholic Relief Services) and CCHD (Catholic Campaign for Human Development) funds. These funds came from the special collections held throughout the diocese last Fall and Spring, and a portion of those funds are designated to benefit local organizations serving the call to serve the poor and most vulnerable as well as advocating and assisting in systematic change. Catholic Charities facilitates the disbursements of these funds.
This year we were lucky enough to redistribute the local funds to the following agencies throughout the archdiocese:
St. John’s Center
La Casita Center
CASA (court Appointed Special Advocates) of the River Region
Saint Vincent De Paul Outreach Ministries- Bardstown
Bread for Life Food Pantry- Bardstown
Feed My Sheep Food Pantry- Burkesville
