Please sign up for our first monthly Virtual Racial Workshop this Wednesday, October 21, from 10 to 11:30 a.m.

The workshop is an open conversation where you are welcome to listen, learn, and speak. Topics include the dangers of systemic white  supremacy and racism as a public health emergency. Convesations will be facilitated by Andy Aliaga-Mendoza, who is an accredited representative in Immigration Legal Services and also a member of Louisville’s Mijente chapter.

The first Virtual Racial Workshop will be mostly introductory; we will go over some basic terminology, introduce ourselves, review the findings from the preliminary surveys from the other month, and have a short, guided Q&A. Staff members of all backgrounds are encouraged to attend; however, we respect any black and brown colleagues who may have concerns about being re-traumatized from the nature of these discussions. Our intent is only to foster understanding and healing.
