There was a cow roaming the halls on Friday, announcing the upcoming Mardi Gras Rouler party on Fat Tuesday, February 21 at Mellwood Art Center, 5:30 to 9. Tickets are $85, but employees can buy tickets for only $50! That gives you access to an open bar, free food, live music, Bingo, casino style gaming, and, of course, bingo!

And what about that cow? Well…The celebration of Mardi Gras can be traced all the way back to medieval Europe where, after traveling through Italy, it landed in France. In France, it was called the “Boeuf Gras,” which meant “fatted calf.” Eventually, it followed the French to their colonies in America. Over time it evolved into what we now celebrate as Fat Tuesday!
