Dear all,

I hope that everyone had an enjoyable Labor Day weekend, and now that it is over it’s time to completely switch gears from summer to fall; pumpkins everywhere…. The last update from Finance discussed the ongoing annual audit. Thankfully that is now complete and for the second year in a row there were no findings or material weaknesses!

Finance is busy now working on federal budget requests; the federal fiscal year is 10/1-9/30. As many of you know, Catholic Charities’ fiscal year is 7/1-6/30. This overlap creates some confusion, so it is always imperative that program managers know and understand their grant award year, and ensure they properly charge expenses against the correct award during this overlap period. Finance has set up a training for the end of this month. You will receive the invite from your Director if you are required to attend.

Take time to enjoy the cooling temperatures (eventually) and get outside!
