Katie McWhorter-Wernert has joined Kentucky Office for Refugees as health coordinator. Katie grew up in Louisville and earned her BA in Anthropology at UofL in Anthropology and her MA in International Affairs at Ohio University. She first joined Catholic Charities as an AmeriCorp VISTA in 2010 for Financial Literacy & Asset Building and then after working in Chicago at another resettlement agency came back as a VISTA  to work at MRS on the employment team. Now, almost 8 years later she is back at CC after working at other social service agencies and Humana as the KOR State Refugee Health Coordinator. You can find her working on their “fixer-upper” on Blue River, playing in the river, dominating at fantasy football, or at Louisville City FC & Racing Louisville games. Welcome, Katie!
