Welcome Layne Sanders, the new youth employment and mentoring specialist with MRS. Layne hails from Asheville, North Carolina, and went to college at Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro, where she majored in Equine Science and Spanish. Layne moved to Louisville about three years ago and appreciates the city’s diverse culture and opportunities.

 

Layne is passionate about horses, learning about other cultures, connecting with people, and languages. She especially enjoys learning how the customs and languages of many cultures overlap with and differ from those of her own. Layne says she has a strong desire to “help uplift and empower those who are not presented with the same opportunities as many others in the United States,” and that she “can’t wait” to do that with Catholic Charities.
