As a young woman, Moira Brennan received a personal motto from her father: Alteri vivas oportet, si vis tibi vivere (You must live for others if you wish to live for yourself). These words from the Stoic philosopher Seneca are words she lives by. Early in her career, Moira worked with several nonprofit organizations focused on social justice issues, from expanding civic participation through increased leadership opportunities for women and campaign finance reforms, then in restorative justice and improving health access for minority populations. In keeping with this spirit of service, Moira then founded and built a senior move management company to support elders through all aspects of downsizing, relocation or aging in place. When Moira returned to Louisville in 2020, her commitment to respect, protect and empower seniors led her to Catholic Charities of Louisville’s Long Term Care Ombudsman program, where she serves as an Associate ombudsman and volunteer coordinator. Moira holds a Masters in Education Psychology from UCLA. Welcome, Moira!
