Staff:
I appreciate your patience with our custodial situation the past few weeks as we are going through some changes in Facilities. We now have a crew contracted with CityWide Solutions who will be cleaning our offices Tuesday and Thursdays. They will begin this Tuesday evening, November 16. Here are some things to note about these services:
1) Our current contract is for custodial services for our public areas. This includes cleaning and sterilizing bathrooms, kitchens/breakrooms, meeting rooms, reception/waiting areas, halls, and stairwells.
2) The crew will not:
- Move items to clean. If dishes are left in a sink, a pan on a stove, or items on counters or tables the crew will clean around or simply skip that area. They will clean around and wipe down items such as microwaves, coffee pots, etc.
- Have keys to enter and clean and dust individual offices. Please make sure you leave your trash outside your door on Tuesday or Thursday afternoon if you would like it emptied.
3) Be aware that it may take a couple of visits before a particular standard has been reached in all buildings. The crew will be giving more attention to certain areas each initial cleaning.
4) Please remember this is a new process for all of us and what was mentioned above about waiting a week or so before bringing up any questions or issues. Both our staff and the vendor will be learning as we get going. If you have any concerns or issues, please do not communicate directly with the crew or leave them instructions. Share that information with me so I can forward directly to our CityWide account manager.
