What’s with the cow?
The celebration of Mardi Gras can be traced all the way back to medieval Europe where, after traveling through Italy, it landed in France. In France, it was called the “Boeuf Gras,” which meant “fatted calf.” Eventually, it followed the French to their colonies in America. Over time it evolved into what we now celebrate as Fat Tuesday! So if you ever see our cow celebrating Mardi Gras with us – he’s our Boeuf Gras!
