Mission
The heart of the Sister Visitor Center lies in the command of Christ to feed the hungry, clothe the naked and shelter the homeless. SVC assists with the most basic human needs including food, clothing, and emergency financial assistance. We recognize the dignity of all people and work in solidarity with those who are most vulnerable. We offer supportive services that reduce barriers and mitigate trauma to help members of the West End Community thrive and reach self-sufficiency.

Catholic Social Teaching
Sister Visitor Center is rooted in the Catholic Social Teaching of Rights and Responsibilities, which holds that all have a right to food and clothing and are responsible to provide them to others in need.

In human society one man’s natural right gives rise to a corresponding duty in other men. Hence, to claim one’s rights and ignore one’s duties, or only half fulfill them, is like building a house with one hand and tearing it down with the other. Pacem in Terris #30
