Ellen (Director of Development) spoke with a donor this week and had a great conversation where she praised Sister Visitor Center for all they do in the community. Here are some highlights from the conversation:

“I grew up in Portland and Sister Visitor helped us. I wasn’t Catholic and we rarely went to church, but SVC modeled Christ’s work. I’m 50 years old and this I has sat on my heart for years.

It was more than clothes. They showed us dignity and respect. We never felt less than as we did at other places.

Mom had polio and no one drove. They (SVC) came to us. They stopped at nothing to make sure we were ok.

When you are having a bad day and feeling like the work doesn’t matter, it does. And you may not realize it for years to come.”
Thank you for all you do. Your work makes a difference!
