Stephanie Ayiku-Teye has joined MRS as a reception and placement caseworker.

My name is Stephanie Ayiku-Teye, but please call me Eve. I have an AA in Paralegal Studies and a BS in Justice Administration from UofL, and an MA in Theology from Concordia Theological Seminary. I have had a passion for other cultures since I attended my first International Banquet at UofL when I was 12 years old. I attended an African church while at Seminary, and it was no surprise to anyone that knows me that my husband is from Ghana. We were introduced through a family friend of his who was a classmate of mine at Seminary, after our friend informed each of us that he had found our spouse. Ten years later we have two beautiful daughters, and my husband recently became a U.S. citizen. I’m proud to say that I did all of his immigration applications, from fiancé visa through citizenship, without the assistance of a lawyer, and he never had to interview for a green card. Born in Louisville, I don’t know what it’s like to be an immigrant myself, but I’ve seen what it’s been like for my husband, and I’m excited to be a part of helping others on their journey.

Welcome, Eve! Please drop Eve a welcoming email at sayiku-teye@archlou.org.
