George Nace
George Edward Nace, 73, died, Wednesday, 12/14/2022.
George was born in Latrobe, PA on August 26th, 1949, where he was raised by his grandparents Martha and George Nace. George attended Greater Latrobe Senior High School, where he was an active baseball, football and basketball player for his school. After high school, he served in the Naval Reserves as an Aviation Structural Mechanic for six years. George graduated from Weaver Airline Personnel School, worked for several major airlines throughout his career, and retired as a crew chief; this career afforded him the ability to travel with his family. He has been in every state at least one time over the course of his life. George was a passionate fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, a love that began early on when he would attend their summer training practices in his hometown. George was an avid golfer throughout his life and enjoyed many afternoons on the golf course. George enjoyed boating and spending time with family and friends at his lake house. His favorite activity though was spending time with his three grandchildren.
George was preceded in death by his grandparents, his biological parents George Nace and Harriet Walsh as well as his brother, Jim Nace.
He is survived by his loving wife of over 50 years, Sally Cosat Nace; daughter, Amy Nace-DeGonda (John); son, Scott Nace; grandchildren, Aiden Nace and Lila and Emelin DeGonda; and siblings, Chuck and John Nace and Linda Rigby.
His funeral is 10am Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road with burial in Floydsburg Cemetery.
George will be missed very much by his family
