New Staff Members

Meagan Stokes comes to CCL from an Amazon staffing role and is a graduate of WKU.  She is serving as an AmeriCorps VISTA on the Development Team to improve our use of Little Green Light as well as support with grants.  She is a huge fan of the Louisville City FC soccer team and has two dogs named Larry and Bernie.

Susan is a Louisville native who has ventured as nearby as Indiana and Tennesse and as far as L.A., but who always comes home. Our new communications and grants coordinator, Susan will create communication about each of our programs to more fully tell our stories through every medium available, as well as research and help prepare grants. She has much experience in public relations and writing, has a master’s degree in journalism and another in religion, specifically the rationale for the Christian faith, and lives with her sassy dog Harley, with lots of family within a mile.

Maria is the new Safe Release Support Fingerprint Specialist. Before joining Migration and Refugee Services,  Maria “Monse” de Monserrat  Manrique, worked as Paralegal Advocate for the Safe Release Program and Legal Orientation Program at Center of Legal Advocacy in Charlotte, NC.  helped with the reunification process between sponsors and minors which she will continue to do in her new role. Prior to that she worked as the Office Manager at Immigration Legal Services here at Catholic Charities. She is very excited to back in Louisville, KY and to rejoin Catholic Charities and looks forward to advocating for the needs of immigrants in our community. Her hobbies include cooking and learning about different cultures.

Welcome to Madison McMullen, Head Start Family Advocate, who is a part of the partnership with the Ohio Valley Educational Cooperative where she is using her education in Intercultural Studies and Spanish to provide family advocacy services for refugee and ESL students and families in the Head Start program. Originally from Knoxville, TN, she has lived in Louisville for one year and has enjoyed getting to know the city. She loves hiking, playing guitar, and spending time in the park with friends.
