Yany Diaz Pena has joined Migration and Refugee Services as  employment and cash assistance specialist. Yana was born in Cuba, came to America a few years ago, and was a client of Catholic Charities. Yany says that working in the city that was her first home in this country “is very important” to her.  “I feel that I am giving back all the hope that I received when I arrived in this country.” Yany has a baby girl and says the best example she can give her “is to be part of a project as noble and wonderful as this is.” In her spare time Yany networks in the immigrant community and edits the magazine El Kentubano, aimed at the Latino community in Kentucky.
