LOUISVILLE, Ky. June 22, 2018) – The Kentucky Derby Festival Foundation Charity Module Program raised over $158,000 in 2018 for local charities. 31 different charitable organizations benefitted from the program by having individual runners and running teams participate in the 2018 Kentucky Derby Festival miniMarathon and Marathon Presented by Humana on April 28. The Charity Module has raised over $2.6 million since its inception in 2005.

Catholic Charities and the Archdiocese of Louisville’s Office of Faith Formation will offer “Welcome the Stranger: Catholic Social Teaching and Immigration” June 26 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Flaget Center, 1935 Lewiston Drive.

Mary Claire Stukenborg is the youngest student ever to have joined the St. Francis of Assisi social justice group, the Committee on Conscience.
