Last week, Alisa, Amina, and Simon from Language Services led a workshop for MRS Youth on how to become language interpreters! Students got hands-on practice translating a document from English into their first language. Many youth in our program are already multilingual and were excited to learn about a new, flexible career option. Thank you, Language Services, for your visit!

Sadiq worked with the Khost Protection Force as a guard and as a result is a target of the Taliban. He was evacuated to the United States on August 26, 2021, with his wife and 5 children. ILS (Zoila) filed his asylum application in mid-February 2022, they traveled to Chicago for interview in late March, and on February 23, they were granted asylum.
