Sullivan Ray Decker joins the world

Darian Decker and her husband Pearce welcome Sullivan Ray Decker to the world Friday, August 19, at 6:23 p.m. Just like everything else his mama does, he was early and perfect.

The cutie-patootie weighed in at 7 pounds and 6 ounces. You can call him “Sully.”

We wish you and your family all the best, Darian!

Joy Brooks joins MRS

I moved to Louisville in 2019 to work with Louisville Metro Housing Authority and worked there for three years before coming to Catholic Charities as the Match Grant Caseworker.  I am the bio mom of two boys, ages 12 and 1, and adopted mom  to my niece, age 13. I love taking family trips, going for hikes, and yoga. I am my happiest when barefoot.

Welcome, Joy!

MRS in need of cars, washers and dryers, coats

Migration and Refugee Services has some specific needs for families being resettled to Louisville: cars that operate, washers and dryers, and winter coats. They do not need cars that don’t run to be sold for scrap, but are looking for cars that will provide families with reliable transportation.

All-Staff Meeting scheduled September 2

Dear all,

You’ve seen the message from the Chancellor cancelling the annual lunch at the Archdiocese on the Friday before Labor Day. We’ve decided to take the same time window to hold an All Staff Meeting … many of you will not have been present for previous meetings, but pre-COVID we held these occasionally!

We wanted to take the opportunity to honor our own Catholic Charities staff for anniversary dates, and we also have some important matters to discuss. […]
