Hi, I am Emily Dudley the new Community and Donor Relations Coordinator.  l live in Henry Co with my husband and daughters. When I am not busy with my family and work you can find me in my garden, cheering on the Yankees, reading, and traveling. I am also a parishioner at St. Edward where I serve as the Youth Sacrament Coordinator. I look forward to my journey with CCL!

Staff recognition luncheon cancelled

The Archdiocese’s annual staff recognition scheduled for September 2 has been cancelled because at least 7 of the 17 people to be recognized for years of service could not attend. According to Chief Administrative Officer Brian Reynolds, the Archdiocese will look for another way to honor colleagues. He also asked for suggestions on a new annual event and time. Shaniya Redmon has joined Catholic Charities as a rapid rehousing case manager. Shaniya graduated from the University of Kentucky with a BA in psychology and is expected to get her MSW this December. 2. Mail a check to Catholic Charities Lexington at 1310 West Main St. Lexington, KY 40508 with “Floods” in the memo section.
3. Give to the special collection to be taken at all Catholic parishes August 6-8.

SVC provides backpacks with supplies

Sister Visitor Center distributed hundreds of backpacks stuffed with school supplies on Tuesday. Each contained grade-specific supplies as published by Jefferson County Public Schools.

Backpacks were also distributed to families served by MRS and Hispanic Services.

We’re grateful to everyone who donated supplies and who volunteered to stuff the backpacks, including these parishes: St. Albert, St. Margaret Mary, St. Raphael, and Pax Christi (St. Therese, Our Mother of Sorrows, and St. Elizabeth), and St. Patrick.

Layla is a 32-year-old educated woman who worked for approximately 10 years as a capacity development manager for the Independent General Directorate of Kuchi.
