This week, youth at Migration and Refugee Services visited Access Care, a day center that provides enrichment activities for retired refugees. Students had a great time playing pool and corn hole with patients, as well as learning about career opportunities in nursing and caregiving. Of course you can give more than quarters, but Bakhita Empowerment Initiative is organizing a quarter drive between now and June 12 used to provide direct services to survivors of human trafficking. Why quarters? Well, for starters, almost everyone has a quarter to spare. And, also, BEI needs quarters to support survivors doing their laundry in hotels or laundromats. Want to give?
