ILS wins asylum for Afghan security officer

Mohammad worked with the Khost Protection Force as a security officer and as a result is a target of the Taliban. He was evacuated to the United States on September 8, 2021, but his wife and 2 children remain in Afghanistan. ILS (Rebecca) filed his asylum application in early May 2022, and on April 11, he was granted asylum. So far, ILS has won every asylum case it has filed.

Sister Visitor Center provides Easter baskets

SVC provided Easter baskets last week to parents and grandparents raising grandchildren thanks to the generosity of Laura Williams’ family, individual donors, and St Michael’s Outreach Ministry.  Laura used her creativity to put these baskets together. Thank you Laura and the SVC team!

WDRB report focuses on need for donations

WDRB was there last week as teams set up an apartment for a family of five arriving from Uganda. Thanks to Tom Dunn and Lay Cho for filling them in on our need for couches, dining tables, and adult bikes for the 128 refugees we expect to resettle in the next month.
