Logan Armstrong joins MRS

Logan Armstrong has joined MRS as an Adult ESL Teacher for Computer Based Instruction. Logan graduated from the University of Kentucky with an MA in Teaching English as a Second Language and has taught at JCTC for 3 years in their ESL program. He is married to his beautiful wife Emily, and they are expecting their first child Isabella in October. Logan enjoys reading books and spending time with friends and family.

New outreach to walk with moms in need

Catholic Charities and the Office of Family and Life Ministries are launching a new outreach aimed at supporting mothers in need and their families. Walking with Moms in Need will recruit and train teams from local parishes to walk alongside these women by providing material support, parenting skills and knowledge, and, just as importantly, friendship. LG&E matches donations to pay utility bills

The Association of Community Ministries is asking the public to help raise funds that will allow neighbors to pay their utility bills. (Sister Visitor Center is a member of the Association of Community Ministries.)
LG&E will match up to $200,000 of funds raised to help neighbors in need pay their utility bills and keep their lights on and air conditioners running.
