Amir Hussein on WAVE television

Our very own Amir Hussein hit the air waves this week when he appeared on WAVE Country, a live local show. Amir talked about Common Earth Gardens, shared about farmers markets, and showed off some early produce from his family’s farm. Amir and his family moved to Kentucky years ago just to participate in the program that became Common Earth Gardens. Now we works promoting CEG farmers at farmers markets … while still farming with his family. Great job, Amir!

First Afghan families gain asylum status

Two families from Afghanistan are the first to gain asylum status through the work of our Immigration Legal Services team. Asylum status assures their right to remain in the United States.

We want to share their stories but cannot share their names  because of the danger still posed by the Taliban to them and their families still in Afghanistan.

My family knows how to move. We relocated from Somalia to Kenya in 1999 and, after five years in a refugee camp, from Kenya to the United States in 2004. Hello Catholic Charities Staff! It is evaluation time again!

Our evaluation program is based on the 360-degree model, consisting of an employee self-evaluation, peer/supervisor evaluations (optional), and the formal evaluation completed by the supervisor.
