MRS youth visited IU Southeast on Monday

MRS youth had a great time visiting Indiana University Southeast on Monday. IUS kindly hosted us for a tour of campus, informational sessions on admissions and scholarship opportunities, and lunch with IUS professors and staff!

We’re partnering with One Warm Coat this year

One Warm Coat Day brings awareness to the need for warmth and inspires people across the country to get involved and make a difference in their local communities by donating coats, holding coat drives, or making financial contributions.

Marissa and Alisa lead community workshops

Marissa Castellanos and Alisa Pifine both provided training workshops at the Neighborhood Place Annual Day Conference on Oct 4. There were about 60 people in Marissa’s workshop, Human Trafficking: An Overview, and about 40 in Alisa’s workshop, “Serving Limited English‐ Speaking Clients – Best Practices and Resources.” Thanks to you both representing us so well!

Common Earth Gardens wins large grant

Common Earth Gardens has received a Refugee Agricultural Partnership Program grant for $298,000 over  the next three years. The funds will support the current programming, allow the team to pursue more much-needed land, and will fund new initiatives aimed at giving people in apartments small scale growing alternatives.
