ILS earns more asylee wins this week!
Our Immigration Legal Services team has filed for and won more asylee victories in the last two weeks. Those who now have legal asylum–securing their right to remain in America–include
–a woman wanted by the Taliban for aiding the United States
–a Christian man
–a young woman who had graduated high school and was pursuing college

New outreach to walk with moms in need
Catholic Charities and the Office of Family and Life Ministries are launching a new outreach aimed at supporting mothers in need and their families. Walking with Moms in Need will recruit and train teams from local parishes to walk alongside these women by providing material support, parenting skills and knowledge, and, just as importantly, friendship. This week the Employment Team with Migration and Refugee Services attended a second ribbon cutting ceremony with ProLogistix. This is a staffing agency that has hired clients through us and also helped with a donation drive.
