Learn a little Pashto and Dari

It’s important that we greet new neighbors well. Here is how to say hello in the Afghan languages of Pashto and Dari. “Salaam alaikum.”

Say it like this: sah-lom ah-lake-um. Put the emphasis on the second syllables of both. Our Language Services program provides access to interpretation and translation of 30-plus languages, including Pashto and Dari.
