Megan Eichert has joined Migration and Refugee Services as the Head Start family advocate. Megan says she is excited to be part of Catholic Charities, after having volunteered with Catholic Charities, Doors to Hope, and Kentucky Refugee Ministries. Megan has a bachelor’s degree in marketing with minors in Spanish and international business, from U of L. She enjoys hiking in local parks, trying new restaurants, and going to farmers markets. Welcome, Megan!
Sister Paris Slapikas, SCN, has joined the Sister Visitor Center as its new director. Sr. Paris comes to Catholic Charities from The Center for Women and Families, where she served as supervisor of residential services and crisis response, director of shelter operations, director of crisis response, and director of capacity building over the course of 14 years. Long-Term Care Ombudsman staff and volunteers gathered in person last Friday to recognize the many contributions of volunteers to the LTCO efforts and to freshen up on training. They met at Louisville Slugger Field for food, fun, and face-to-face conversation. YAY!
