Catholic Charities partnered with the Mayor’s office, Dare to Care, and Cash Saver to launch the Oasis to provide fresh food at affordable prices to the Russell neighborhood. Thank you to everyone who participated in the press conference on July 12, 2018 at the Sister Visitor Center.

Making the 2018 CSA Video

Each summer in preparation for the upcoming Catholic Services Appeal, the Office of Mission Advancement is able to break out our directing chairs and clapperboards for the annual CSA video. (Well we leave the real creative work to our friends at Current360.)

Kentucky Derby Festival runners raise over $158,000 for charities

LOUISVILLE, Ky. June 22, 2018) – The Kentucky Derby Festival Foundation Charity Module Program raised over $158,000 in 2018 for local charities. 31 different charitable organizations benefitted from the program by having individual runners and running teams participate in the 2018 Kentucky Derby Festival miniMarathon and Marathon Presented by Humana on April 28. The Charity Module has raised over $2.6 million since its inception in 2005.

Immigration workshop set for June 26

Catholic Charities and the Archdiocese of Louisville’s Office of Faith Formation will offer “Welcome the Stranger: Catholic Social Teaching and Immigration” June 26 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Flaget Center, 1935 Lewiston Drive.

Catholic Charities awards St. Francis student

Mary Claire Stukenborg is the youngest student ever to have joined the St. Francis of Assisi social justice group, the Committee on Conscience. She also is the youngest student ever to have been accepted by the group as a regular provider of service at Catholic Charities of Louisville and Kentucky Refugee Ministries.
