Donations

- Our top needs:
- Twin or full bed sheets and blankets (new or in very good condition)
- NEW personal hygiene items (shampoo, soap, toothpaste, lotion, etc.).
- We DO NOT currently accept clothing, mattresses, or bed frames.
Employers
Please submit information about your available positions online at https://cclou.org/refugee-employment-request-form/. We are not able to reply to every request, but will keep your information on file.
Housing
- At this moment, we are unable to place families in housing that has common areas or shared living spaces with others outside of our clients’ family unit.
- Properties must be accessible via public transportation, within the Louisville Metro Area.
Media
We cannot offer interviews with Afghan evacuees.
Volunteering
- Please fill out the volunteer application here, and someone will reach out to you within 7-10 business days.
- Please indicate on your application that you are interested in serving with Migration and Refugee Services (MRS).
- Uncertified interpreters should be referred to Alisa Pifine apifine@archlou.org.
Newcomer Welcome Teams
A Welcome Team is a group of 5-10 people who assist our case management team with the essential tasks of welcoming a new refugee or immigrant to Louisville. This can include food shopping, furnishing an apartment, being present at the airport arrival, and transporting clients to initial appointments.
If you are interested in creating a Welcome Team, please register here for one of two interest meetings. The meetings will be held on Zoom 9/30 at 6:30 pm and 10/5 at 12:00 pm.
